Default Need some help searching.

Hi, I could use some help from all the gurus out there, on a big search.

I'm trying to find some tips, or a guide on creating questions for an inverview, like employing an employee for a company based on biotechnology. That company is now trying to sell some vitamins/vaccines, but needs some employees that are exprinced, have a brain and uses it often. I need to help them prepare a guide or some questions that can help them on their search for such employees.

I tried a search on google, but most were tips for people trying to get a job, not tips for the employer. If you guys don't mind, take 5 minutes from your time, help me search some websites that can provide me with what I'm looking for, and simply post them here.

Well, if you scroll down a bit you will find a thread made by Inde regarding odd questions that an employer would ask you during an interview. Many riddles have been posted, which could lead to testing the potential employee's ability to think. Of course, you will need to throw in some odd situations that actually have to do with the job itself, adding in the factors of what the position is.

And if Microsoft does it, why don't you?

Yeah, but I still need some more examples, like:

Ask this odd questions:
And some explanations of what this questions will achive? What type of answer will the employee offer and what of he offers this type or that type, what will it mean?

You could say I'm more educating the employer than actually hunting employees.

Well, I would think that situational questions would be most helpful.

Example - You are running a bakery

A fire in your kitchen happens, your manager tells you to put out the flames. What would you do?

Now, a person could either do as the manager says and risk his life putting out the fire for the sake of the company or leave for his own safety.

Either way, you could tell what qualities the person possesses. If he listens, then he could be either a worker who can't think for himself or a really brave one. It would need further questioning to dicipher which one it is.

If he leaves, then he would be someone who follows proper conduct and would rather believe in safety than what would benefit him. Sucking up to the manager? Heh.

May not be the best example, but it may lead you to some clever questions. I am not sure what a company dealing with biotechnology would ask, but I will almost guarantee situational questions are the best way to go.

Hmm...thanks for the advice Opeth, even though it didn't get me anywhere, but I'm pretty sure of my goal now
